Prospect Gallery is a high quality, nationally known public exhibition space managed by The City of Prospect’s Community Arts Team. The Gallery has been showing a diverse range of exhibitions each month since it opened in 1988.
Prospect Gallery welcomes artists working in any medium; in particular emerging artists or art students. We are happy to arrange a meeting prior to the artist lodging a formal application. Phone Prospect Gallery on 8342 8175.
As well as solo and group shows, exhibitions are held to coincide with events such as the Adelaide Festival of Arts and National Youth Week. Two major exhibitions are held in December to January on alternate years:
- Prospect Portrait Prize, a national contemporary art competition for professional artists working in any medium
- Prospect Community Show, open to everyone who lives or works in Prospect.
Exhibition openings are held on the first Sunday of the month at 3.00pm (except January) and everyone is warmly welcomed. We have easy access for the disabled.
